Are you an experienced Technician, with a passion for keeping maintenance tasks up to date and ensuring the equipment is in top condition? Do you enjoy the challenge of fixing equipment to help reduce downtime within a busy warehouse? Then we could have just the role for you!  We are looking for an experienced maintenance technician for our site in Tilburg.

 

What will you do on a typical day

• Performs maintenance on a timely basis with adequate recordkeeping
• Maintain supply of spare parts inventory
• Ensure equipment is started up properly at the beginning of the shift 

• Maintain equipment in running order with minimal downtime
• Locate sources of problems by observing and listening to mechanical devices in operation
• Diagnose and make repairs as needed
• Maintain documentation of performance of preventive maintenance, equipment repair, part usages and other documentation
• Ensure a safe working environment and all maintenance is done in a safe way
• Consciously dealing with the reduction of environmental impact in terms of waste, energy, water and fuel consumption
• You will work in a 2-shift system which includes weekends

 

What you need to succeed at GXO

• Intermediate Vocational Education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role
• Effective communication skills in Dutch and English 

• LEAN Warehousing
▪ Knowledge of machines, equipment, warehouse facilities, and maintenance and repair methods and procedures
• Experience in handling multiple projects and tight timelines
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and vehicle servicing
• Safety orientated
