This is a very important role to our business, so your expertise within HR and a good understanding labour law, labour agreements and union experience is required
Due to our multicultural environment, you must have fluent communication in Dutch and English, French would be of benefit
What you do on a typical day – HR Business Partner
- In collaboration with the Site Manager and HR Manager, identifies and implements HR interventions that have direct impact on the profitability of the site.
- The HR Business Partner investigates and resolves employee relations issues that arise on site.
- Acts as a liaison between employees and management, representing them both fairly and professionally.
- Ensures compliance with all company, government, labour, and transportation industry regulations.
- Delivers training and intervention required to maintain compliance.
- Coaches and counsel’s management and employees regarding policies and procedures, discipline, interpersonal and teamwork opportunities.
- Promotes employee engagement through regular, personal contact with employees resulting in a positive employee relations atmosphere.
- Drives communication activities, forums and cadences that connect employees’ work to the broader business strategy.
- Leads in screening, hiring, on-boarding and development of new employees of the Site to enable them to add value quickly.
- Responsible for delivering GXO HR initiatives on the site.
- Evaluates effectiveness of Site management teams; recommends and delivers interventions with support of HR.
- Manages numerous reporting activities related to the above functions in a timely and professional manner.
- Acts as a champion of GXO values both in demonstrating them personally as well as coaching/training others.
- Maintain associate personnel files, ensure documents and manuals are kept current, accurate, confidential, and in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Fluency in Dutch and English, with French as desirable
- Bachelor’s degree within a HR discipline or previous experience within HR is required
- Knowledge of labour law, labour agreement and union expertise
- Knowledge of and experience in the field of HR information systems and HR analytics
- Strong stakeholder management and self-driven
