Van Driver

Are you a reliable and customer-focused individual who enjoys being on the road? We’re looking for a Van Driver to join our dedicated team, delivering tyres to garages and retail outlets as part of the Micheldever Group contract.

 

This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in ensuring timely, accurate deliveries while representing our business with professionalism and a positive attitude.

 

This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday with every fourth Saturday included in the rota, covering hours from 07:00 to 16:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Load your own vehicle each morning, ensuring all tyres are checked, secured and ready for delivery
  • Carry out scheduled PM deliveries to retail outlets, providing great customer service at every stop
  • Support general warehouse operations, including unloading inbound deliveries and organising stock where required
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, safety and housekeeping throughout the day
  • Assist the Stock and Planning Controller as needed and provide cover during absences
  • Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as required by the needs of the business

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • A full UK driving licence with Cat B entitlement
  • Less than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
  • Ability to carry out manual handling tasks, including loading and unloading tyres
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
