To support our growing presence in Europe, we are looking for a Business Support Manager to join our team in Venray, the Netherlands. As a Business Support Manager you provide Operations and Account support. You serve as point of contact for Customer and GXO Operations regarding systems and processes. You will manage projects of diverse team including IT, Operations, business. You are Resolving issues, determine root cause, and implement solutions.
What you do on a typical day
1. IT Support & Development
· Lead the IT Support team, Key Users, to ensure system reliability and data integrity.
· Collaborate with internal and external IT teams to develop and implement system enhancements.
· Drive digital transformation initiatives and automation projects across departments.
· Ensure effective use of WMS, TMS, and ERP systems, and support user training and troubleshooting.
2. Operational Support:
· Manage the Customer Service & Inventory teams to ensure accurate process monitoring and high service levels.
· Oversee the development and implementation of SOPs and KPIs to improve operational performance.
· Act as a liaison between operations and support functions to ensure alignment and responsiveness.
· Monitor and analyse operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
3. Transport Management:
· Supervise the Transport Planners to ensure efficient and cost-effective transport planning.
· Collaborate with carriers and logistics partners to optimise delivery performance and cost.
· Ensure compliance with transport regulations and customer requirements.
4. Data Analysis & Process Improvement:
· Work closely with Data Analysts to interpret operational data and generate actionable insights.
· Use dashboards and reports to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across departments.
· Lead initiatives to implement data-driven changes in operational processes, enhancing productivity and service quality.
· Promote a culture of data literacy and evidence-based decision-making within the support teams.
5. Leadership & Strategy:
· Provide strategic direction and daily leadership to all Business Support teams.
· Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and accountability.
· Develop and manage departmental budgets, resources, and performance targets.
· Report regularly to senior management on departmental performance and improvement initiatives.
· Responsible for accomplishing results through management of multiple teams or senior professionals.
· Exercise control over resources, policy formulation and planning.
· Establish operational objectives for managers across related areas.
· Support day to day management activities: lead major customer projects as the GXO representative.
· Participate in daily error call and represent GXO Operations.
· Identify root cause for variances and close these gaps.
· Responsible for accomplishing results through management of multiple teams or senior professionals.
· Support day to day management activities: o Lead major customer projects as the GXO representative.
· Lead the design of GXO solutions to support customer requirements: Design changes, Process changes and BRD development.
What you need to succeed at GXO
▪ Some years of experience in a similar role.
▪ Strong communication skills (verbal and written) in English.
▪ Bachelor´s degree: e.g. logistics, engineer, operations management, supply chain
