Transport Administrator

We’re looking for a Transport Administrator to join our energetic, growing team in Normanton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, takes ownership of their work and wants to play a key role in the smooth day-to-day running of our transport operations.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position working on a rotating shift pattern across any 5 days out of 7. Flexibility is essential, as shift allocations may vary depending on business needs.

 

Shift patterns include:

 

  • Nights: Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00
  • Afternoons: Sunday to Thursday, 14:00 – 22:00
  • Days: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Maintain the daily operations log by collating feedback against plan for use in Plan/Do/Review calls
  • Administer fleet processes including defect reporting, tyre management, and vehicle bookings
  • Prepare and reconcile delivery paperwork, PODs, and manage tachograph administration and reporting
  • Support First Line Managers with accurate and timely driver briefings and debriefings

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in a transport or logistics environment is desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • A calm, customer-focused approach with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-moving environment
