Class 1 Driver
GXO Logistics is proud to be working in partnership with City Plumbing, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of plumbing, heating, and bathroom products, on a major logistics contract based in Avonmouth.
We’re currently recruiting a Class 1 Driver to join our dedicated team on a permanent, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a trusted brand that has been supporting tradespeople and DIY customers for over 35 years through a network of more than 350 branches nationwide.
This is a full-time, permanent role with a rare and highly sought-after Monday to Friday schedule, with early start times between 04:00 and 06:00—perfect for early birds who like to beat the traffic and finish early!

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carrying out multi-drop deliveries, averaging 3 to 7 drops per day
- Operating your vehicle safely and legally at all times
- Ensuring the vehicle is correctly and securely loaded prior to departure – No handball required
- Completing all delivery and vehicle documentation accurately and in line with company policy
- Operating automated lift decks as required during daily operations
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) licence with an up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
- Less than six points on your licence (as well as no DD, DR, DG, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT endorsements)
- An up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph
- A strong understanding of road safety and vehicle compliance
- A team player with a professional attitude and excellent timekeeping
