Here at GXO Logistics, we’re recruiting for a Transport & Customer Service Administrator to provide exceptional support to our Customer Services Team on our Toyota contract. You will be responsible for carrying out a varied workload across numerous Customer Service and Administrative tasks.

 

If you have excellent customer service skills & ideally come from a transport operations background, then we would love to hear from you! Working hours for this role will be Monday-Friday 6am-3pm & 10am-7pm rotational shifts

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £27,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave + Bank holidays. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Ensuring the current transport plan is fully executed in line with or as close to the original plan.  Specifically, this includes tracking of all vehicles/drivers in-line with expected timelines and progress chasing any deliveries that are considered in jeopardy or that deviate significantly from expectations.
  • React to all unforeseen events across the shifts in a timely and professional fashion.  Reduce any negative impact these events may have led to by utilising the resources at your disposal.
  • Looking ahead at the forthcoming 24-hour period to check that the scheduled resource allocated to the plans are accurate, achievable and as cost effective as possible. 
  • Execution of all emails In a timely manner, passing on instructions where necessary and making the appropriate action.
  • Liaise with drivers and customer services through emails/ phone calls.

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, with an ability to understand the client’s needs and requirements.
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office package
  • Good organisation and planning skills.
  • Self-motivated with an ability to prioritise own workload effectively.
  • Able to work independently or as part of a team
