Compensation & Benefits Senior Manger
Logistics at full potential!
We’re looking for a Compensation & Benefits Senior Manager to lead strategic and operational total rewards programs across Central Europe. In this role, you’ll ensure competitiveness, compliance, and alignment with global standards, supporting talent attraction and retention.
You’ll drive compensation policy design, lead regional pay transparency implementation, and optimize reward systems. Working closely with HR, Finance, and global C&B teams, you'll play a key role in shaping compensation strategy across multiple countries.
What are your typical tasks in a role of Compensation and Benefits Senior Manager:
- Compensation Strategy & Operations
- Develop and implement compensation and incentive systems aligned with business strategy.
- Lead annual salary and bonus review cycles, including preparation of merit budgets and performance calibration.
- Create, evaluate, and optimize remuneration policies, ensuring consistency and competitiveness.
- Design and manage regional job evaluation and re-evaluation processes (e.g., KFGH methodology).
- Ensure effective governance of pay structures and frameworks across entities.
- Policy Development & Revision
- Review and revise local compensation policies, ensuring consistency across all geographies and alignment with the company's growth strategy.
- Support the creation and revision of compensation policies, integrating changing regulations and evolving business needs.
- Maintain clear documentation of all policies, processes, and compliance requirements to ensure readiness for audits and legal checks.
- Design and implement a regular review process to ensure continued alignment of compensation structures with legal and market changes.
- Benefits Management
- Manage benefit programs and platforms including health insurance, pensions, cafeteria systems, and flexible benefits.
- Collaborate and negotiate with external vendors and benefit providers.
- Drive cost-effective, tax-optimized benefit solutions tailored to regional needs.
- Pay Transparency & Compliance
- Implement EU Pay Transparency Directive across the region, including salary reporting and internal guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, tax policies, and GDPR requirements.
- Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and reporting.
- Ensure job architecture supports Pay Transparency requirements offering competitive and equitable compensation structures.
- Drive gender neutrality in pay, ensuring compliance with both local laws and global best practices.
- Perform detailed gap analyses to identify discrepancies in pay structures, both within and between countries, and recommend solutions.
- Strategic Partnership & Communication:
- Collaborate closely with the Business, Finance, Legal, and HR teams to ensure alignment with the Business Strategy and alignment between compensation structures, budget setting, and tax optimization.
- Partner with external providers to evaluate and negotiate compensation-related services, conducting cost analysis and ROI assessments.
- Manage internal communications regarding compensation, benefits, and new policies, ensuring clarity and transparency for all stakeholders – in collaboration with the Global Compensation and Benefits Team.
- Support business growth by addressing and anticipating compensation implications related to expansion and role changes.
- Data, Analytics & Tools
- Conduct regular salary benchmarking and compensation market analysis.
- Lead HR analytics efforts including KPI tracking, headcount cost analysis, and compensation reporting.
- Prepare data for internal reporting and external salary surveys (e.g., Mercer, Korn Ferry).
- Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a strategic partner to HR and business leaders.
- Advise management on compensation solutions for recruitment, retention, and reorganization.
- Communicate compensation policies effectively across all organizational levels through training and documentation.
- Strategic Projects
- Design and implement bonus and incentive systems customized for different departments and levels.
- Lead special projects such as global mobility support, harmonization of C&B across business units, and M&A-related integrations.
- Contribute to strategic workforce planning through job evaluation and pay modeling.
What You Need to Succeed at GXO:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compensation and benefits role within a complex or multi-entity organization..
- Skills:
- Operational and strategic capabilities (translate strategy into actionable local plan), strong knowledge of compensation practices, job evaluation methodologies, and benefits administration.
- Solid understanding of Central European labor laws, compensation-related regulations, and tax implications.
- Experience implementing pay transparency directives and managing audits.
- Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with HRIS systems.
- Highly developed analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of additional Central European languages is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced
