Role Overview

 

We are seeking an experienced Head of Solution Design Central Europe who will oversees a team of Solution Design Engineers, guiding their professional growth, ensuring the quality of project outcomes, and maintaining consistency with organizational standards. Responsibilities include project allocation, leading opportunity evaluations, supporting internal governance processes, and serving as a key liaison across multiple business functions.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Team Leadership – to manage a diverse group of Solution Design Engineers, balancing junior and senior expertise.
  • Opportunity Evaluation – direct assessments of potential contract logistics projects to prioritize those with the strongest likelihood of success and alignment with market strategy.
  • Project Allocation – assign work across the team to ensure fair distribution, efficiency in delivery, and highquality, profitable solutions.
  • Quality Oversight – monitor project outputs through structured peer reviews and systematic checks.
  • Standards Compliance – guarantee that all solutions adhere to established organizational processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Approval Support – facilitate internal review and governance steps required to secure executive approval for proposed projects.
  • CrossFunctional Collaboration – act as the local point of contact for departments such as Finance, HR, Operations, and Legal, ensuring smooth coordination.
  • Capability Development – identify training needs, deliver targeted learning opportunities, and provide coaching to enhance team performance.

 

To excel in this role, you'll need:

 

  • Master’s degree in logistics or/and business administration or any other related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in solution design, automated warehouse solutions or operational experience in contract logistics, supply chain industry and min. 2 years of experience in team management.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global matrixed environment.
  • Fluent in English
