IT Engineer
Logistics at Its Full Potential
At GXO Logistics, we’re on the hunt for an IT Engineer who’s as comfortable managing Linux servers as they are testing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and building internal tools that make a difference.You’ll be the glue between our tech, operations, and customers—making sure WMS and BI solutions run like clockwork. From hands-on testing to behind-the-scenes development, you’ll help keep our supply chain smart, fast, and reliable.
What are your typical tasks in a role of an IT Engineer:
Core responsibilities:
- Plan and execute testing for new versions and updates of the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Serve as a key communication link between Central IT and Operations teams
- Modify and configure WMS systems based on operational needs or customer requests
- Provide support to other departments within the Central EU IT structure
- Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing, internal training, and task handover when needed
- Offer first-line support to end users and operations teams via ITSM tools
- Maintain and support current and future IT tools and server infrastructure
- Assist with additional duties as assigned by the Central Europe IT team
IT Engineering:
- Oversee the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, and deployment
- Design and implement automated testing for web-based WMS systems, focusing on performance and scalability
- Develop Android mobile applications and integrate them with backend systems
- Create and manage containerized environments to support deployment and scalability
- Configure and maintain Linux servers for application and database hosting
- Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure stable and reliable software
- Provide ongoing application support, troubleshooting, and implement regular updates
- Design and develop responsive front-end interfaces for internal tools
- Build and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services
What You Need to Succeed at GXO:
- Programming experience in Python (Java or JavaScript are nice to have)
- Experience with automated web application testing
- Working knowledge of Linux configuration/administration
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Fluent in Polish and communicative English
- Nice to have: SQL, familiarity with logistics sector, WMS systems and QA processes, knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker), experience with microservice architectures
