Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO we are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join us at our new site in Wellingborough. You’ll be part of a team that works closely together to keep operations on track and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 48 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for the following patterns:
- Monday to Friday on day shift with start times from 07:00
- Monday to Friday on night shift with start times from 17:00
- Sunday to Thursday on night shift with start times from 17:00
This role requires a degree of flexibility to work weekends in line with business needs.

What you will do on a typical day:
- Carry out a mix of multidrop and trunking deliveries, while collecting waste from stores in line with operational requirements
- Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures
- Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by being polite and courteous at all times
- Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential
- Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
- Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards
- No more than 6 current penalty points
- No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements
