A fantastic opportunity has arisen within our Toolstation site in Pineham, Northampton and GXO is seeking a talented and passionate individual for the position of HR Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).

 

 You will be working Monday – Friday, 09:00-17:00, with some flexibility required. This is logistics after all!

 

Pay, benefits and more:

 

We’re looking to offer a salary of £45,000.00 - £50,000.00 (dependent on experience) per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Build and drive the HR people plan to support our overall business plan and develop our employee relations agenda
  • Carry out the proactive development of line management capability through formal training, coaching and guidance on all HR related activities
  • Provide full HR generalist support and advice to managers and employees to ensure current knowledge of employee legislation
  • Facilitate harmonious employee relations with the site teams to ensure optimum working efficiency within the operation

 

 What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar HR management role, preferably in an operational environment and experience of solving complex employee relations cases
  • A proven track record in change management and the ability to drive HR transformation
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, coaching and motivational skills
  • An organised, data-focused and conscientious approach to your work
  • Up-to-date knowledge of both legal and audit compliance requirements
  • CIPD qualified or working towards
