Inventory Controller
Are you passionate about accuracy, organisation and keeping operations running smoothly? We’re looking for an Inventory Controller to take ownership of stock integrity and play a key role in supporting our warehouse processes at our Wellingborough site.
In this role, you’ll maintain accurate inventory records, investigate discrepancies and work closely with teams across the operation. Your attention to detail will help drive the efficiency and success of the site. As part of the role, you will also be required to operate a Reach Truck or Scissor Lift — full training will be provided.
This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday, covering hours between 14:00 and 22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Complete physical and system-based perpetual inventory checks
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, identifying root causes
- Maintain ongoing inventory accuracy across the warehouse
- Produce and distribute daily reconciliation and productivity reports
- Coordinate and monitor automated stock transfers
- Provide timely administrative support for stock and order queries
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Experience with inventory control in a warehouse environment
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and within a team
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ideally Red Prairie/DLX
- Trained to operate a Reach Truck or Scissor Lift, or willing to complete MHE training
