Management Accountant

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Management Accountant to join our growing team on the Costa & Whitbread contract. Being based out of either our Wellingborough or Trafford Park, Manchester location, you will be working on an open book basis across two contracts, while being responsible for delivering financial reporting including weekly costings, monthly accounts, and balance sheet reconciliations in an efficient and consistent manner.

This is a full-time, permanent position, predominately working Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, with some potential of hybrid working!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Preparing weekly and monthly financial reports to both GXO and the customer
• Supporting the Finance Manager with the weekly flash report including assisting in the production of all budgeting and forecasting requirements
• Continuously reviewing and improving all processes to meet operational and financial needs
• Developing business relationships with our customer – both operationally and within the finance function

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Ideally, you’ll have started your accountancy qualifications and you'll be part-qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA)
• You’ll have solid experience in weekly accounting with the ability to work under pressure
• Be confident and able to communicate at all levels including having the ability to challenge stakeholders
• Logistics experience would be an advantage
