QA Assistant

Here at GXO we are looking for a QA Assistant to join our GXO Supply Chain operation at our Wellingborough site. Your responsibilities will include managing documentation and ensuring a timely flow of goods. You will help ensure that stored, picked, and shipped products meet company standards by inspecting goods, managing documentation, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
This is a full‑time, permanent position, working on any ‘5 out of 7’ days, predominantly Monday to Friday. Flexibility is required, as this is logistics after all.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Perform visual inspections of incoming and outgoing goods to ensure they meet required specifications
- Support process improvement by assisting with audits and working with other departments to address quality issues
- Handle and respond to departmental queries, and carry out administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
- Provide QA documentation to the site as required and assist with process audits when needed
- Identify non‑conforming products, initiate rework procedures, or label items for quarantine
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Ability to accurately identify defects, discrepancies, and quality issues
- Confident in reporting findings, raising issues, and communicating quality standards to supervisors and colleagues
- Experience using inventory management systems, completing data entry tasks, and operating basic inspection tools (e.g., scales, measuring equipment)
- Knowledge of warehouse processes including goods in/out, picking, packing, and health & safety procedures
- Previous experience in quality control, manufacturing, or warehouse environments is highly beneficial
