Here at GXO, we are currently on the search for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our team in Wellingborough, on our Costa & Whitbread contract. You’ll be responsible for a team of Warehouse Operatives, leading and monitoring colleagues to reach objectives and targets whilst adhering to all policies.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position, working an any 5 from 7 shift pattern, 14:00 to 22:00. However, this is predominantly Monday to Friday at this time.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Carry out the day-to-day management of a team of warehouse colleagues, managing performance, setting KPI’s and driving continuous improvement
  • Ensure effective communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams on a daily basis
  • Focus on colleague development by implementing a consistent appraisal process
  • Take responsibilities for Health and Safety and lead by example to ensure consistent compliance

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience leading a team of warehouse colleagues within a large, fast paced warehouse environment, ideally with temperature-controlled exposure
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
  • Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
