We are currently looking for a Shift Manager to lead and motivate our team of warehouse colleagues. Supporting the daily operations of our hustling shared user site in West Hallam you will be responsible for organising colleagues and supervising workloads, in order to achieve KPI’s within the agreed timescales. You’ll work on a shift pattern of any 5 out of 7, mornings (05:30 – 14:00) and lates (13:30 – 22:00) on a rotational shift basis.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £30,000.00 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday pay (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Plan and achieve daily, weekly, and monthly operational and KPI targets
- Train and develop all team members to ensure a fully multi-skilled and capable work force to meet customer needs and demands
- Ensure customer service level agreements are achieved, escalating any issues impacting on these to line management
- Provide leadership and guidance for the Team Leaders and Warehouse Colleagues to enable them to meet objectives, encouraging open communication to address any potential issues effectively and in a timely manner
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Operational and supervisory experience within a warehousing environment
- Experience in WMS systems such as Blue Yonder and a good understanding of Microsoft Office tools
- Ability to lead and motivate others through effective empowerment and delegation
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and coach teams and colleagues to ensure excellent performance
