We are on the lookout for a Stock Controller to support our client Highways England in Longbridge. You will manage warehouse inventory and optimise productivity, ensuring that site procedures for stock management are in place and are adhered to. You will also be required to ensure KPIs are met without compromising health & safety. You’ll be working Monday – Friday, however, some flexibility is required.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Review stock and operational activities within the warehouses; make decisions regarding these based on area performance monitoring and evaluations against key performance indicators
  • High level of stock responsibility, investigate product specifications, correct product codes, descriptions which conducting cycle counts, and auditing
  • Communicate with all levels of colleagues, the customer team and management from National Highways, engineers and project sponsor based at the maintenance depots
  • Ensure IT warehouse system is maintained and ensure all data is accurate and up to date

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Strong IT, organisational and administration skills are essential as the role involves a high degree of systems interaction and stock accuracy
  • Experience of working with computer packages including stock management systems, Oracle WMS experience is desired but not essential, training will be provided
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Full, clean driving license is required, holiday cover at different regional store depots across UK will be required as part of the job
