Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team on our Costa & Whitbread contract in West Thurrock. You will be responsible for ensuring all colleagues within the team are trained in their respective tasks, adhering to Health & Safety rules and procedures, whilst meeting or exceeding operational requirements within the contract.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 06:00 – 18:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Ensure all H&S obligations are met by you and your team, to provide a safe and thriving working environment. Raising any concerns to your line manager
  • Communicate with your peers in the warehouse or transport throughout your shift to ensure collaborative working
  • Support with planning ahead and planning resources, thinking about overtime, agency bookings and annual leave
  • Complete daily compliance reports to support your line manager for HACCP food safety guidelines

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience in leading a team within a fast-paced operation of FMCG, automation and multi-channel.
  • Experience of working to agreed targets and managing a small team
  • Well-versed in warehouse management systems
  • Good working knowledge of current health & safety and compliance legislation
  • Previous experience working within a temperature controlled environment, would be an advantage
