Shift Manager

Here at GXO, we’re looking for an experienced and proactive Shift Manager to join our NHS Supply Chain contract based in Normanton. You’ll lead teams and deliver operational and customer service excellence. You’ll be responsible for managing up to 100 individuals through 3-4 team leaders, embedding a culture of engagement, and driving continuous improvement across all processes.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll influence change, manage budgets, and ensure health and safety standards are consistently met. You’ll also play a key part in building strong relationships with our customer and GXO leadership teams.
This is a full-time, permanent position working on rotational shifts. Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 06:00 till 14:00, Friday 06:00 till 13:00. Week 2: Monday to Thursday 14:00 till 22:00, Friday 13:30 till 20:30.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and manage operational teams to deliver exceptional service and meet performance targets
- Act as a change agent, embedding continuous improvement across all processes
- Manage budgets and ensure activities meet quality and cost targets
- Develop and implement strategies for employee engagement and succession planning
- Drive performance improvement through audits and reporting
