Warehouse Team Leader

Due to ongoing growth, we now have the exiting opportunity to recruit several Warehouse Team Leader (Days and Nights) to join our GXO team in busy multiuser site at Sherburn-In-Elmet. You’ll provide leadership and guidance for your warehouse team, ensuring that the team have all the tools they need to do their tasks, and that the operation runs smoothly.

This is a full-time, permanent role, with a shift pattern 4 on 4 off, either working days or nights -

• Days 7:30am to 7:30pm
• Nights 7:30pm-7am

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,000 per annum (+ night shift allowance when applicable) and 23 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Team management; developing, leading and motivating your people to achieve challenging operational KPIs
• You’ll lead the team on health & safety, showing good working practices, as you’ll be responsible for keeping all our operational processes fully compliant whilst keeping your people safe
• You’ll actively manage your available resource, and utilise staff where possible  
• Maintain a constant presence within the warehouse delivering shift briefs and preparing handovers

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience in leading a team within a fast-paced operation of FMCG, automation and multi-channel
• Experience of working to agreed targets and managing a small team
• Well-versed in warehouse management systems
• Good working knowledge of current health & safety and compliance legislation
