Health & Safety Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Manager to join our team in Worksop, supporting our customer, B&Q. As a Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for the two sites same industrial estate, you will follow all regulations, monitoring and maintaining all SSOW, Risk Assessments and Welfare Assessments while growing the safety culture, striving to be a company that cares for the safety of our colleagues and customers.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £40,000.00, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Responsible for ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and visitors, ensuring the contract is operating within health and safety legal requirements and in line with the company policies and procedures
- Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive a culture of continuous improvement
- Facilitate implementation of corrective actions and preventative actions where required
- Participate and support in investigations to facilitate closure of identified non conformances
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Holder of a NEBOSH general certification is required
- Analytical thinking to identify root causes of incidents and develop practical solutions
- Ability and confidence to influence senior stakeholders on all aspects of health and safety
- Proven experience managing Health and Safety
