Inbound Scheduling Manager

Are you a natural leader with a passion for planning and problem-solving? Ready to take the wheel and drive efficiency in a fast-paced logistics environment? Then it’s time to schedule your next move — with GXO!

We’re on the lookout for a confident and organised Inbound Scheduling Manager to join our team at our Worksop site. If you thrive on leading teams, improving processes, and making things run like clockwork, this could be your next big opportunity. You’ll be working closely with our transport and customer service teams, leading a small but mighty crew of scheduling specialists to keep our inbound deliveries running smoothly.

This is a full-time, permanent role. You’ll be working Monday to Friday during office hours, with flexibility between 07:00 and 17:00 to suit your schedule. The role is hybrid, with just one day per week required in the office — giving you the freedom to balance work and life while staying connected to the team.

Pay, benefits and more:

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £30,000 per annum, you’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, private medical and dental insurance, a 24/7 online GP service, life assurance and a fully comprehensive employee assistance programme. You’ll have access to our MyBenefits platform offering a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme, cashback cards, a saving scheme and much more. You’ll also have access to our GXO University which provides you with the opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications at a pace that you’re comfortable with. There’s also our continued focus on internal promotions, over 60% last year!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Lead, coach and support a team of 5 - helping them grow and smash their targets
  • Own the inbound scheduling process, resolving delivery issues and keeping everything on track
  • Be the go-to contact for stores, suppliers and internal teams - building strong relationships and keeping communication flowing
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics, using data to drive improvements
  • Champion health & safety and promote a culture of continuous improvement

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • Proven experience in team leadership, people management and conflict resolution
  • Strong planning and organisational skills — you know how to prioritise when things get busy
  • A solid understanding of scheduling systems, delivery coordination and performance reporting
  • Great communication skills - both written and verbal
  • A proactive mindset and a passion for problem-solving
  • Experience with HR systems and Microsoft Office tools
