Systems & Planning Support
Are you systems‑minded, organised and at your best when things need fixing — fast? Do you enjoy being the go‑to person for order flow, planning and system challenges? Are you looking for a night‑shift role where your attention to detail keeps a complex operation moving?
Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for a Systems & Planning Support colleague to join our B&Q operation at Worksop, working the night shift. This role is central to the smooth running of site systems and order management, acting as the first point of contact for system and planning issues and ensuring a high level of service for both internal teams and our customer. You’ll work closely with operational colleagues, site management and external helpdesks to keep orders flowing, resolve system issues and maintain operational performance throughout the night.
This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working on an ‘any 5 from 7’ night shift pattern, Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00.
Pay, benefits and more:
You’ll be paid a salary of £35,887 per annum, which includes a £7177 night shift allowance. You’ll also receive 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. Your benefits package includes a company-sponsored pension plan, death in service benefit and personal accident insurance. Plus, many other perks such as a variety of high street discounts, a cycle to work scheme and our continued focus on internal promotions, over 60% last year!
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Manage site order flow, including daily order planning and release
- Act as first‑line helpdesk support for systems and planning issues
- Monitor and manage WMS logical areas to support operational flow
- Investigate, document and see through resolution of system anomalies and defects
- Liaise with external helpdesks, IT teams and internal stakeholders
- Support load management, express orders, manual picks and forward pull activity
- Produce, maintain and distribute operational reports and KPI data
- Support user access control, system housekeeping and site documentation
- Work collaboratively across departments to maintain service and efficiency
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics or operational systems role
- Strong organisation and problem‑solving skills
- Confidence working with warehouse systems and data
- Good communication skills with the ability to support operational teams
- A flexible and proactive approach, particularly during night operations
