Warehouse First Line Manager

Here at GXO Logistics, we’re looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our team at B&Q team at Worksop. You’ll take responsibility for leading a team of Warehouse Operatives during your shift, ensuring safety, service, cost and people management targets are achieved.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Sunday to Thursday, and your hours will rotate weekly between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00.

 

Pay, benefits and more:

 

You’ll be paid a salary of £33,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending upon experience. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead a team of Warehouse Operatives to achieve departmental KPIs, deliver daily team briefings and handovers
  • Monitor performance and provide constructive feedback and coaching, supporting cross-training and maintaining a robust skills matrix
  • Enforce Health & Safety standards and safe working practices
  • Control and monitor MHE usage and equipment condition
  • Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience supervising a team and an operational understanding of a fast-paced transport environment
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace
  • Basic PC literacy and experience with Warehouse Management Systems
  • Ability to work flexibly across rotating shifts
