GXO are looking for a Warehouse First Line Manager to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will be responsible for ensuring and driving efficient operational performance on the night shift, whilst maintaining strong communications with the on-site senior management team.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working Sunday to Thursday, 22:00 – 06:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £32,000 per annum, plus an additional night shift premium of 20%. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of your team, providing effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation, training and development

  • Facilitate communication through regular briefings, shift updates and continuous feedback to colleagues

  • Supporting the operations managers in achieving the warehouse operational KPIs and service levels and driving improvement initiatives across the site

  • Ensure that the Company’s health and safety policies and obligations are adhered to, and that the operation meets all legislative requirements at all times

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Proven experience of leading an operational team in a fast-paced warehouse

  • The ability to lead continuous improvement projects whilst demonstrating excellent planning skills

  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on maintaining on-site engagement

  • Analytical and logical approach to problem solving
