This isn't an average Payroll position, you will coordinate payroll between the business and the external payroll partner as well as liaising with Pension, car scheme providers.
- Do you have at least 3 years of experience in Payroll.
- Are you fluent in Dutch and English, French would be nice to have
- Opportunity to work hybrid - 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
What does your day look like as a Senior Payroll Advisor
As a Senior Payroll Advisor you will be overseeing the payroll for the whole of our Belgium locations. You are the link between our external payroll provider and all GXO employees (a total of +900 employees within Belgium). Giving guidance and ensuring all payroll and associated external providers are working effectively, efficiently and within timescales.
You check, challenge, and optimize the payroll process of our external provider. In addition, you are the second line of contact for questions about salary-related topics and associated laws and regulations. You process mutations who are not digitized. In this role, you will report directly to the HR Manager Payroll & HR Support BENE
- Coordinating on all payroll processess and activities within payroll Belgium
- Be the link between the external payroll company and GXO
- Collecting salary transactions, checking, and processing the transactions
- Act as a second-line information point for the company with salary questions.
- Point of contact for internal and external contacts
- Checking pension and insurance data and providing data for the correct processing of changes
- Supplying and checking data from various organizations (including UWV, Tax and Customs Administration and Pension Insurer)
- Taking care of reports
- Keeping track of developments in the field of wage legislation and the correct application of the changes
What you need to be successful:
- Minimum HBO or Secondary education level in Payroll at a working and thinking level
- At least 3 years of work experience in the field of payroll processing
- Up-to-date knowledge in the field of tax laws and regulations, including social insurance, payroll tax, pension, and other terms of employment.
- You are a team player, but you are also able to work independently.
- You have a proactive attitude and are customer oriented.
- Fluent in Dutch, English and French would be a nice to have.
