As Transport Manager, you own everything that happens in transport. You shape how the department runs, how people work together, and how performance is delivered. Your team of 7 transport professionals looks to you for direction, clarity, and leadership. You set priorities, coach them through challenges, and help them grow.

What you do on a typical day – Transport Manager
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 7 Transport employees.
- Drive efficient operations and continuous improvement through new processes and systems.
- Own P&L performance, budgets, and operating income targets.
- Implement and coach Lean principles and quality systems.
- Exceed customer KPIs (cost, quality, responsiveness) and support QBRs.
- Support sales activities, customer quotations, and identify growth opportunities.
- Oversee invoicing, cost control, and expense approvals.
- Ensure strong compliance with Health & Safety, legal, and GXO standards.
- Actively support sustainability and environmental performance initiatives.
- Embrace modern transport technology being rolled out from 2026.
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or similar.
- 5+ years’ experience in Transportation Operations (truck / distribution environment).
- Strong leadership, change management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Solid financial and P&L understanding.
- Tech‑savvy, curious, and improvement‑focused.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, professional level French.
- Transport licence (vakbekwaamheid) preferred, not essential.
