Transport Administrator

Here at GXO Banbury, we're recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join our growing team, supporting our customer, The Entertainer. You’ll be working on a full-time, fixed-term contract until the end January 2027, on an ‘Any 5 days out of 7’ pattern, covering the hours of 09:00 to 17:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Support the Transport Supervisor and Planner with a range of administrative tasks, ensuring transport operations run smoothly and efficiently
  • Produce accurate reports, data and operational information for both internal stakeholders and customers in a timely manner
  • Respond to customer, store and driver queries professionally, helping to resolve issues and maintain excellent service levels
  • Communicate effectively with transport, warehouse and customer teams, providing operational support and escalating issues where required

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in an administrative, transport office or logistics environment would be advantageous
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office, with the ability to work across multiple systems and accurately maintain records and reports
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to deal professionally with colleagues, customers and external partners
  • A proactive and organised approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while managing multiple priorities accurately
