Warehouse First Line Manager

GXO are looking for two Warehouse First Line Managers to join The Entertainer site in Banbury. Here you’ll be responsible for leading your team to achieve business goals through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team-based culture.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working on an ‘any 5 from 7’ shift pattern. There are two shift patterns available, 1 x earlies 06:30 – 15:00 and 1 x lates 14:30 – 23:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Take full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the warehouse in your area. You’ll lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve targets
  • Ensure effective communication is delivered to colleagues and management teams on a daily basis
  • Proactively support the site and customer’s continuous improvement initiatives, acting as an advocate on site for cultural change
  • With a good understanding of health & safety, you’ll strive to make sure all operational processes are fully compliant with our policies, while accurately identifying risks and escalating your findings

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Experience of working in a supervisory position, within a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Be a natural leader, able to coach others to drive and implement change
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience managing conflicting priorities, with the ability to plan and organise a warehouse operation
  • Strong IT skills, including warehouse systems and Microsoft Office
