Warehouse Team Leader (E-comm)

GXO are looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our B&Q site in Blyth – S81 8PU. You will lead a high performing team of flexible and engaged colleagues, focusing on delivering operational excellence at all times.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working on a ‘4 on 4 off shift’ pattern. The working hours will rotate weekly between 07:00 – 17:00 and 13:00 – 23:00.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £31,000 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Plan, co-ordinate, supervise and report upon the work activities of the warehouse operatives, providing effective communication, leadership, succession planning, motivation, training and development
  • Monitor order flow and warehouse activities to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
  • Support Shift Managers in delivering operational KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Maintain stock accuracy and support inventory audits, stock counts, and warehouse system processes
  • Promote a strong health and safety culture while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous supervisory experience within a warehouse environment, ideally with e-commerce operations
  • Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and strong PC skills, including Excel
  • Proven experience leading or supervising operational teams
  • Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach with a passion for delivering excellent customer service
