Warehouse Team Leader

Here at GXO, we’re seeking a Warehouse Team Leader to join our adidas contract based at Marston Gate, Bedford. You’ll take ownership of a dynamic operational team, ensuring performance targets are met while creating a motivated, engaged, and safe working environment. You’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement and delivering results across our site.

 

This is a full-time, permanent position. You will work Sunday to Thursday, 14:00 till 22:00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,304 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Leading, motivating, and coordinating your team to achieve daily KPIs and operational targets
  • Allocating workloads, managing headcount, and controlling overtime to meet demand
  • Monitoring team performance, absence, and development, taking action where needed
  • Driving a strong health & safety culture and maintaining high housekeeping standards (6S)
  • Engaging with colleagues on the shop floor and promoting a positive, team-focused culture

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Leadership experience within a fast-paced warehouse or operational environment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • A proactive, hands-on leader who leads by example and drives continuous improvement
