General Manager

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a General Manager to join our team in Bellshill, supporting our customer Morrison’s. You will lead the site to deliver service provision with the contractual and KPI requirement in line with budgets and account development while, ensuring compliance in all areas of responsibility in respect of workplace ethics, legal, environment, security and Health and Safety.
This is a full time, permanent position, working any 5 days from 7. We do ask for some kind of flexibility due to the nature of the role, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £90,000.00 per annum, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- While showing personal awareness and sensitivity, provide leadership and effective management of site teams so that all objectives and targets are achieved
- Delivery of site briefs, roadshows and listening groups to increase engagement measured through the colleague survey
- Support the development of the account growth strategy and the evolution of the site, through on going continuous improvement and additional strategic projects
- Champion the labour strategy on site, mitigating any risk and identifying innovative solutions to meet the changing employment market
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Proven experience in a similar senior management role and environment working with a high – profile customer with experience in a food environment would be desirable
- Up to date knowledge of both legal and audit compliance requirement relating to a large distribution centre
- Ability to manage multiple work streams at once, prioritising as needed
- Exposure to building strong business relationships with both internal and external customers
