Transport Planner
Logistics at full potential
Are you passionate about transport planning, coordination, and ensuring seamless pickup to delivery performance? Do you enjoy working in a dynamic environment where accuracy, communication, and operational efficiency are key? Then we are looking for you as a Transport Planner for our Bergen op Zoom operation! You will play a crucial role in arranging subcontractors, tracking deliveries, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring flawless execution of transport activities.
What you do on a typical day
- Arrange and coordinate transport subcontractors to ensure availability and effective route planning.
- Ensure all customer orders are picked up on time and planning aligns with operational needs.
- Manage daily administration, including transport costs, KPIs, reporting, and documentation.
- Act as the central point of contact for all transport related matters, both internally and externally.
- Support and coordinate transport activities within the Bergen op zoom campus.
- Schedule orders into optimal routing structures and planning overviews as per the Tendered suppliers of the customers.
- Detect and handle planning irregularities, solving issues proactively.
- Process transport document flows accurately and efficiently in coordination with site customs team.
What you need to succeed at GXO
- Experience in the transport sector, ideally in planning, coordination, or logistics operations.
- Strong skills in Excel, data handling and digital tools.
- Experience with SAP, TMS systems and transport documentation.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is considered a strong benefit.
- Analytical, detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast paced operational environment.
- Customer focused with strong problem solving capabilities.
- Team oriented but able to work independently when needed.
- MBO level education in logistics, supply chain or a similar field.
