Inventory Coordinator

Here at GXO, we are looking for an Inventory Coordinator to join our WHSmith team in Birmingham.

You’ll be responsible for leading a team to ensure stock integrity, maintain accurate department records, investigate stock discrepancies and provide timely and accurate feedback to customer queries. The coordinator will provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to align with site objectives and business requirements. Emphasising continuous improvement, building a team-based culture that promotes collaboration, efficiency, and adheres to safety rules

 

 

This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be working Monday to Friday - 06:00 – 14:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Achieve and exceed KPI target expectations & ensure the maintenance of the daily stock count schedule
  • Accurately manage and maintain Inventory records and documents & lead stock investigations and communicate detail to the leadership team
  • Responsibility for monitoring and reporting on budget and exceptions & provide weekly, daily, and monthly performance reports and develop and maintain visual management boards for the team
  • Work with appropriate parties to provide solutions to team issues, taking account of the appropriate policies and ethical practice
  • Create and maintain a positive team culture and spirit & encourage involvement from all team members when sharing group and team information

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Requires a meticulous attention to detail to ensure stock accuracy
  • Previous Inventory experience, leading a team to deliver, in a fast-moving consumer goods driven business
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a view of creating a positive relationship with all kinds of people with ability to work individually and in a team under your initiative
  • Takes ownership of processes with a view to continuously improve where possible
