GXO are looking for an Inventory Manager to join WH Smith site in Birmingham. Here, you’ll oversee all aspects of inventory management within the organization. This role involves planning, coordinating, and monitoring inventory levels to meet customer demands and minimize excess.
This is a full-time, permanent position where you will be working Monday to Friday, with hours to suit business needs.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £42,000.00, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

Manage and maintain an active sku base across the fulfilment centre and support sites

Ensure stock integrity is maintained to the highest levels at all times

Review capacity forecasts and ensure appropriate staffing and equipment levels

Monitor and ensure that all production standards and deadlines are met

Review and plan for all known or anticipated events on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis to ensure that production standards are continuously met by taking appropriate and timely action
What you need to succeed at GXO:

Extensive experience in inventory management and a deep understanding of inventory processes and stock control

Graduate level or a minimum of 5 years logistics industry experience, of which at least 2 years in line management

Excellent people management skills with the ability to build credible and strong professional relationships at all levels

Be customer focused, operationally astute and experienced in achieving stretching objectives and operating to high standards
