Inventory Lead

We are looking for an Inventory Team Leader to join our M&S Foods operation in Bradford. You’ll support the Team Manager with day to day running of warehouse shifts, supporting, motivating and developing a team to achieve challenging efficiency targets.

 

This is a full time, permanent position, where you’ll be working 40 hours per week, on an any 5 from 7 shift pattern. The hours of work will rotate weekly between 06:00 – 14:00 and 14:00 – 22:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

·       Supporting the Team Manager with the day to day running of warehouse shift, you’ll lead, motivate and develop your team to achieve challenging efficiency targets

·       Installing a strong work ethic in your team, you’ll also monitor morale, identifying ways to ensure you are promoting our approach to employment engagement

·       With good understanding of Health & Safety you’ll strive to make sure all operational processes are fully compliant with our policies, while accurately identifying risks and escalating your findings

·       A strong communicator you’ll develop strong and trusting relationships with your team and other managers

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

·       A proven track record in a leadership position, within an automated warehouse environment

·       A skilful planner and natural problem solver, you`ll be able to monitor performance against business standards, control resource and costs, and enable your team to meet challenging performance target

·       A good organiser with the ability to efficiently manage varied workloads, you`ll use your initiative to analyse and resolve any issues within your department.

·       You’ll also have a flexible approach that allows you to effectively organise and prioritise urgent and critical tasks
