Head of Inbound

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Head of Inbound to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins! You will be heading up the inbound department ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day activities, managing and controlling the safe and accurate receipt of all inbound deliveries.  

 

This is a full time, permanent position, predominantly working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. With this being a 24/7 operations, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £65,000.00 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Agree and communicate the inbound plan with stakeholders in line with agreed KPI's
  • Support the design, implementation and promotion of processes within the inbound department, taking a continuous improvement approach
  • Monitor and control inbound system locations to ensure all stock can be accounted for and located correctly
  • Produce reports which are consistent and accurate, enabling the operation to focus on achieving stated outcomes

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Previous experience in a logistics setting is essential
  • Strong team management and coaching skills, coupled with the ability to drive and implement change
  • The ability to lead, develop and mentor a large, diverse operational team, recognising talent and inspiring them to success
  • Experience working with internal and external customers, with the ability to influence stakeholders
