Head of Outbound

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Head of Outbound to join our team in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins! As Head of Outbound, you will predominantly lead the outbound department to ensure the operational performance meets all internal business targets and clients’ expectations.
This is a full time, permanent position predominately working Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00. With this being a 24/7 operation, we do ask for some flexibility, this is logistics after all!

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £65,000.00 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Establish a positive working relationship with all functions. Ensure that the customer’s needs are fully understood and translated into effective operational plans
- Deliver end to end service within the outbound function
- Overall accountability for operational performance against KPI’s
- Responsible for setting, managing budgets for area of responsibility.
- Identify areas of improvement within the Outbound processes and manage operational constraints
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience within a senior leadership role within a fast paced
- Outbound logistics environment
- The ability to lead, develop and mentor a large, diverse operational team, recognising talent and inspiring them to success
- Be customer focused, operationally astute and experienced in achieving stretching objectives and operating to high standards
