Transport Administrator

Our Co-op team in Avonmouth is on the lookout for a reliable and detail-oriented Transport Administrator to join us. In this key role, you’ll help keep our transport operations running efficiently—managing delivery schedules, liaising with customers and suppliers, and ensuring everything stays on track.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern from 06:00 to 18:00—giving you the benefit of extended downtime and a consistent work-life balance.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Coordinate and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely operations
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and suppliers
- Debrief staff and ensure all paperwork is accurate and compliant
- Monitor tachographs in line with legal requirements
- Proactively resolve delivery issues and keep stores informed of any delays
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience in a transport operations environment (preferred)
- Strong communication and organisational skills with great attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- A team player who can also manage their own workload independently
