This is a full time, permanent position with 37.5 hours contracted per week. Working hours are any 5 days out of 7, working on a rotational shift of 06:00 to 14.00 and 14.00 to 22.00.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £35,804.45 per annum, and 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays). Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Lead and inspire a team of Transport Clerks and Drivers, reporting into the Transport Shift Manager
  • Motivate your team to hit targets and deadlines through clear guidance, coaching, and support
  • Drive operational performance by achieving daily and weekly KPIs using transport management systems
  • Ensure a first-class service while maintaining full compliance with legal, licence, and regulatory requirements

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Proven experience in a transport environment, with unionised experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of transport systems, driver management tools, and relevant legislation
  • Confident people leader with excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Skilled at building stakeholder relationships and influencing performance through accountability and ownership
