This role is Onsite in Charlotte, North Carolina with a hybrid schedule available.

As the Manager, International Tax, you will work collaboratively with the Business and Finance teams throughout the year to ensure tax consequences of all transactions are well understood and that the related tax reporting is completed in an optimal manner. You will prepare/review the international component of the U.S. tax provision/returns, optimize processes and assist in tax planning projects.
What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Review quarterly and year-end provisions; prepare and/or review GILTI, BEAT and FDII calculations according to new tax legislations; prepare and assist with the international aspects of the U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) worldwide income tax provision
- Prepare/Review the international component of the U.S. tax return preparations (Forms 1118, 5471, 8858, 8865, 8975, 8991, 8992, 8993, 5713 and FinCEN), ensuring compliance with applicable federal regulations
- Work collaboratively and proactively with other GXO tax teams including SALT, European, indirect, planning and global tax provision
- Communicate with business unit controllers on estimated cash tax payments
- Optimize tax processes, including development and implementation of procedural changes and/or enhancement of existing processes to improve the tax function, including through automation
- Assist in specific process improvement initiatives, including the creation of tools and enablers, briefing and reference materials and coordinating the roll out of such projects
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
- 5 years of professional experience in a publicly traded corporate income tax department or in the tax department of a large public accounting firm
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and CorpTax software
- Experience conducting tax research using RIA, BNA and other published sources
It’d be great if you also have:
- Master’s Degree in Taxation
- CPA certification
- Tax planning experience
- 3 years of experience managing a professional staff
