The Senior Program Manager, Learning and Development strengthens GXO’s reputation and license to operate by building and sustaining talent pipelines with local communities, nonprofit partners, education providers, and public stakeholders across an assigned region. The role designs and executes a scalable community engagement strategy that supports GXO’s growth, customer commitments, workforce pipeline priorities, and employee engagement objectives. Key deliverables include a partnership development (education/workforce/nonprofit) program, early careers program, and consistent reporting of outcomes and impact.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Design and implement programs that align with 3PL operational goals and workforce development strategies.
- Designs new community initiatives or adapts proven models to fit diverse site communities and customer environments; balances standardization (toolkits, governance) with local customization. This role will work closely operations, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to ensure a community focused workforce talent pipeline is created and maintained.
- Lead high-visibility programs and initiatives to build workforce pipelines.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing based on business impact, strategic alignment, and stakeholder input.
- Track and report on key performance indicators, learning outcomes, and program effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
- Facilitate workshops and learning sessions that support talent development, change management, and organizational capability.
- Champion process improvement initiatives that streamline hiring processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, in Communications, Human Resources, Community Development (or equivalent work/military experience; logistics experience may substitute for education)
- 3–5 years of experience in workforce development
- Project management experience
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time
It’d be great if you also have:
- Experience in the transportation/freight operations or logistics industry
- Strong awareness of trends, techniques, and technologies in the training and development space
- Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask effectively
