Here at GXO, we're looking for a Department Manager to join our Fashion Retailer at Crick. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of operational performance across multiple warehouse functions, ensuring the safe, efficient, and successful delivery of customer commitments. You'll play a key role in leading frontline managers, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence through effective people leadership, performance management, and stakeholder engagement. This is a full time, permanent position working Friday to Monday 21:00 – 07:00

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £47,900.00 per annum, and 22 days annual leave (inc bank holidays). What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead and manage multiple operational areas, ensuring service, productivity, quality, and KPI targets are consistently achieved
- Drive operational performance through effective resource planning, workflow management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop, coach, and support Front Line Managers (FLMs), creating a high-performance culture focused on engagement and accountability
- Monitor operational and financial performance, identifying risks, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborate with customers and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service and support site-wide objectives
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous management experience within a fast-paced logistics, distribution, or warehouse environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate, engage, and develop teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbal
- A customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and experience using operational systems and performance reporting tools
