Operations Manager

Here at GXO, we’re seeking 2 Operations Managers, you will take end-to-end responsibility for coordinating the operation within the Zara contract based in Crick, ensuring outstanding service delivery while meeting both immediate and long-term site objectives. You will lead through people, performance, and culture – delivering KPIs in line with agreed budgets, embedding GXO values, and promoting the quality and value of the site both internally and externally.
These are full-time, permanent positions. You will work Monday to Friday, on rotating shifts including 07:00 till 15:00, 10:00 till 18:00 and 15:00 till 23:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Lead a safe, compliant and high-performing operation, ensuring all Environmental, Health & Safety, legal, security, and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Translate customer requirements into robust operational plans, delivering service levels, KPI performance and cost targets
- Develop and inspire leadership capability across Department Managers and Shift Managers through coaching, mentoring, performance management and succession planning
- Drive continuous improvement and cultural development, challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities to enhance cost, service and efficiency
- Maintain positive and constructive employee and union relations, creating and inclusive, engaged and high-performance working environment

- You will be a confident, resilient leader with proven experience in a fast-moving retail/eCommerce logistics operation and a strong track record of delivering results through people
- Strong operational and commercial acumen with a customer-first mindset
- Experience of driving change, continuous improvement and cultural transformation
- Strong IT capability, including MS Office and warehouse systems
