Class 1 Driver

Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a full-time, permanent Class 1 driver to work, 5 from 7, Monday to Friday, joining our delivery team in Cullompton for our customer, Howdens, EX15 3FA.

 

You will be contracted to work 45 hours per week, with the start time circa 08:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Safely deliver caged or palletised goods to RDCs and stores, ensuring loads are securely fastened, deliveries are on time, and offloading is completed correctly
  • Complete all delivery paperwork accurately, collect signed documents, and return any agreed waste or empty cages
  • Carry out multi-drop deliveries while adhering to driving legislation, health & safety standards, and safe working practices at all times
  • Provide excellent customer service, report vehicle defects promptly, and maintain a flexible, professional approach to meet business needs

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • A full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement
  • A valid Driver Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph Card
  • No more than 6 current penalty points
  • No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
  • Previous retail and commercial driving experience is desirable
