Here at GXO Logistics, we are looking for a Class 1 Bulk Relief Tanker Driver to join our Breedon Cement team in Dagenham RM9 6PR. The contract has a nationwide delivery area with key distribution points at Dagenham, Hope Valley, Runcorn, Walsall and Port of Blyth.
As a Relief Class 1 Bulk Tanker Driver, you will be required to cover days and providing driver cover during planned and unplanned absences. This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, starting between 04:00 - 07:00 and relief cover on nights when needed. You’ll be contracted to 2 nights out per week if required with guaranteed minimum 48 hours per week.
No tanker experience is necessary as Full training will be provided!
- An hourly rate of £18.92
- £47,224.32 per annum (based on a 48-hour week)

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Safely operate a Class 1 Bulk Powder Tanker to collect and deliver powder products for the construction industry, predominately cement
- Load and discharge powder products using pressurised systems, following all safety protocols
- Conduct vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness and compliance
- Complete all required documentation and delivery records accurately
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Valid Category CE (Class 1) UK driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience operating bulk powder tankers is a plus, however full training provided
- Strong understanding of health and safety procedures
- Capable of handling equipment safely
