Transport Administrator

Here at GXO, we’re recruiting a Transport Administrator to join our busy dynamic team in Doncaster, DN4 5PD working with our Home Delivery team.

 

You will be working full-time, working 5 days per week, Monday to Saturday, (1 Saturday in every 3) between the hours of 04:30 to 21:00.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • Coordinate transport operations across the UK, scheduling vehicles, drivers, and equipment to ensure efficient, compliant, and on-time deliveries
  • Maintain accurate transport records, operational reports, and performance metrics, including OTIF, fuel usage, maintenance costs, and delivery documentation
  • Support and administer transport teams through resource planning, driver recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and stakeholder communication
  • Monitor vehicle maintenance, safety compliance, PPE requirements, and legal obligations to promote a safe, reliable, and compliant transport operation
  • Provide excellent customer service by resolving transport issues, managing customer queries and escalations, and collaborating with operational stakeholders to achieve business objectives

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and error-free work
  • IT literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel
  • Experience using transport systems, Flexipod/Winsight, Vision, Telematics, with previous experience in logistics advantageous
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
