Transport Administrator

 Here at GXO, we’re recruiting a Transport Administrator to join our busy dynamic Home Delivery team in Portbury, BS20 7XE.

 

Working Hours:

This is a full-time role, working 5 days out of 7, shifts patterns include:

  • 04:30 – 13:00
  • 10:00 – 18:30
  • 12:30 – 21:00

 As a Transport Administrator, you will receive:

 

  • An annual salary of £27,210

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Conduct vehicle debriefs, ensuring stock accuracy and checking vehicle condition and cleanliness
  • Monitor and record daily equipment checks to maintain operational standards
  • Communicate key updates and information to delivery crews in a timely manner
  • Build positive working relationships and resolve issues professionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain accurate records and collaborate with transport, warehouse, and Health & Safety teams to support daily operations

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and error-free work
  • IT literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Excel
  • Experience using transport systems, Flexipod/Winsight, Vision, Telematics, with previous experience in logistics advantageous
  • Flexible, reliable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
