Site Administrator

Here at GXO, we are on the lookout for a Site Administrator to join us at our shared-user site in Draycott-In-The-Clay. You’ll be an integral part of the on-site team reporting to the Transport Operations Manager. You’ll have great variation in daily tasks, including but not limited to; payroll, tracking absence, ordering site supplies, and preparing and checking all weekly costings before they are presented to the customer.

 

In short, we need an all-rounder, someone who will pitch in when needed!

 

This is a full-time, permanent position where you’ll be working Monday-Friday between the hours of 08:00-17:00. Some flexibility may be required, this is logistics after all!

What you’ll do on a typical day:

 

  • To provide accurate and efficient administrative support for the site, as required
  • Track and record all Driver daily hours and prepare and submit for monthly pay
  • Keep updated sickness/holiday/overtime records for site weekly
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all weekly financial figures before preparing and presenting the weekly build file to the Finance Manager
  • Responsible for site consumables such as uniform, operational supplies and trailers
  • Support for visitors to site, admin/note-taking support for managers and general administration support

 

What you need to succeed at GXO:

 

  • Past administration experience, ideally in a people focused role with some finance experience preferred (Experience of cost control and working within budget, reporting and managing cost variances)
  • Attention to detail checking all figures and charges are correct
  • Demonstrate sustainable improvements within Health & Safety and Human Resource
  • Advanced Microsoft Office user including Word Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience developing relationships with customers and colleagues
